Updates

Well, not a ton to report. Training has been rolling along. The super early morning training is actually working out pretty well! Luckily I'm not too disruptive to my wife when rising so early in the am. So, training is plugging along. I'm back to that consistent, "man my legs are a little heavy" and the, "isn't it time for bed?" at 8:30 routine :) I'm making some changes thus upcoming year. First off, Muddy is still coaching me. However we are getting more aggressive with our program as we have our sights set on some podiums. We will be turning my bike into more of a weapon while continuing to work on the run so I can get off the bike with a top couple percent split and still run comfortably fast. The run is always the challenge for me. I was happy with my progress last year with a half iron pr to end the season, but my run times were still not where they needed to be. Speaking of the bike...I'm getting refit. I have corrected some flexibility and strength concerns and so I will be returning to a more aggressive position. I gave up a lot of time last year with my set up, both in aerodynamics and power. This will not be the case this year. As far as the swim, I will be working with a local club to get more productive workouts as opposed to always swimming by myself. Overall, it's hard to believe that oceanside 70.3 is just around the corner! Time to get busy. And on that note, I need to get some training done! Thanks for checking in! Trevor
